Description
Old Bewick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is built of ashlar stone with margins and horizontal tooling and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a three by two bay layout and stands two storeys high. The central doorway is round-headed and includes a fanlight, set within a blank arch. There are seven steps leading up to the front door, with low octagonal capped piers on either side of the steps. All the windows are 12-pane sashes, and the farmhouse has raised, alternating ashlar quoins. The gables have flat coping and kneelers, and there are gable-end stacks made of ashlar with a band.
At the rear, there is a projecting service wing and a short cross wing beyond that. A linking lean-to loggia features one round pillar with an unmoulded capital and base. The interior has not been seen.
