Description

Farmbuildings. These early 19th-century farmbuildings are located approximately 30 yards east of Beal House. They consist of four ranges arranged around a courtyard, with further buildings within the courtyard itself. The farmbuildings are constructed of dressed stone with roofs of Scottish and Welsh slate. The south range features a central segmental-arched entry beneath a gable, flanked by single-storey byres. It has a hipped roof. The north range includes a projecting former threshing barn, now used as a hay store, and sheltering sheds featuring 18 segmental arches, some of which are now blocked. Above the sheds is a granary. The west range originally comprised stables with boarded doors and half-slatted windows. The east range has been largely altered, and the added buildings are not considered to be of interest.
