Description
Lowlynn House is a house built in the early to mid-18th century and the early 19th century. It features ashlar stonework and a Scottish slate roof. The building is divided into three sections.
The main block on the right is constructed of yellow ashlar, stands two storeys tall, and has five bays, with architraves around all the windows. The first floor has smaller square windows, and the central first-floor window features an eared and shouldered architrave. Most window openings are empty, and there are sill bands on both the ground and first floors.
To the left is a slightly later two-storey, one-bay linking range made of pink sandstone, which has two-light windows with architraves. Adjacent to this is a three-storey, cross-gabled section with two bays, also featuring architraves.
The main section has a hipped roof with four tall conjoined and corniced ridge stacks, while the section to the left is roofless. There is a doorway on the right return and two canted bay windows at the rear. At the time of the survey, the property was empty and derelict.
