Description
This is a screen wall to 20th-century farm buildings located about 200 yards south of Barmoor Castle, built in 1803. The wall is constructed of random rubble and is designed in the Gothick style. It features seven blank pointed arches and a battlemented parapet. The end bays are slightly higher and project, while the center bay is even higher and has a moulded cornice below the parapet. The wall is a remnant of a banqueting hall that was erected for the first in a series of agricultural shows held by the Sitwells at Barmoor Castle. The shelter sheds at the rear are not of special interest.
