Description

20 Quay Walls is a late 18th-century building constructed of ashlar. It has three storeys and a basement, featuring bands with delicate fret enrichment. The building has a narrow front that is one bay wide. It was the home of T.S. Good, a well-known painter from Berwick in the early 19th century. The listed buildings in Quay Walls are part of a Grade II group due to their significance as the river frontage of Berwick, with Nos 19 to 23 forming a Grade II* group because they are a particularly fine row located near the Custom House.
