South Farm Cottage And Middle Cottage

South Farm Cottage and Middle Cottage is a pair of houses built in the second quarter of the 19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble and feature tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of five irregular bays. The first and fourth bays have boarded doors with 5-pane overlights, while the second and third bays contain 16-pane sash windows. The fifth bay has renewed 12-pane sash windows. All openings are set in chamfered alternating-block surrounds, with windows that have slightly projecting sills. The roof is hipped and features a stepped and corniced ridge stack, with a later stack at the right end. The right return has two bays with later 4-pane sashes.
