Description

Chollerton Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of ashlar stone with a Lakeland slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features five bays. The entrance front has a three-bay central section flanked by slightly projecting pedimented bays. The central door consists of six flush panels, set within a plain surround topped by a bracketed cornice hood. The flanking bays contain 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and shortened 12-pane sashes above. The outer bays have 16-pane sashes on the ground floor and shortened 12-pane sashes above, with bands at the first floor sill and eaves.

The garden front also has three bays, highlighted by a central broad two-storey bay window featuring three 12-pane sashes on the ground floor and three 9-pane sashes above. The other windows on this front are similar to those on the entrance front.

To the left, there is a single-storey addition that includes 19th-century Yorkshire sashes set in chamfered surrounds. The farmhouse has a hipped roof with two stone ridge stacks.
