Description

These outbuildings, located adjacent to the west end of Lincoln Hill House, were remodeled in the mid-19th century from 18th-century structures. They are built from rubble with cut dressings and feature Welsh slate roofs. The single-storey buildings form a small yard that opens to the south.

The right section, which is next to the house, has a four-pane sash window and a blocked doorway with a chamfered surround to the right. It also has moulded corbels at the eaves and a coped left gable with a tall rendered chimney stack. The central part, which is set back, includes a boarded door flanked by part-slatted windows, with a passage entry on the far right; all openings have stop-chamfered surrounds.

The projecting left section has a coped gable with moulded kneelers. The inner return features boarded double doors under a timber lintel, while the outer return has a boarded door and three twelve-pane sashes, all in stop-chamfered surrounds, along with blocked 18th-century slit vents in between. At the ridge, there are two slender, diagonally-set stacks that are stepped and banded, topped with circular stone pots.

The wall on the south side of the yard has stop-chamfered gate piers with domed tops. These outbuildings are included for their group value with the main house.
