Description
Two houses, originally a single dwelling with an attached dairy, were built in the early to mid-18th century. Two bays were added to the left side in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of random rubble with pantiled and Welsh slate roofs. They have two storeys and six irregular bays. Number 1 has a central six-panel door and flanking twelve-pane sash windows. On the upper floor, there is a twelve-pane sash, a six-pane sash, and a blind window. Number 2 has a six-panel door to the left, twelve-pane sashes on the ground floor, and six-pane sashes above. The left two bays have a Welsh slate roof, hipped on the left. The remaining roof is steeply pitched with pantiled sections, swept eaves, and three brick ridge stacks. The interior of Number 2 includes a staircase with a closed string and widely spaced stick balusters. Several early to mid-18th century three-panel doors are present, each with a large single lower panel. A mid-18th century six-panel cupboard door is set within a panelled surround.
