Description
Nos. 3, 4, and 5 Clark Place is a terrace of three houses built around 1820, with an earlier core. The buildings are constructed of dressed stone with ashlar dressings and feature a Scottish slate roof with brick chimneys. They are two storeys high and consist of three, four, and six bays.
No. 3 has a central six-panel door with a margined overlight, while No. 4 features a similar door in the third bay, and No. 5 has a recessed similar door in the fourth bay. The windows are 12-pane margined sashes with projecting sills. The houses have a steeply-pitched gabled roof with kneelers and flat coping, along with end stacks and three ridge stacks. The rear gable of No. 3 displays old brick laid in parallel courses up to the coping.
Inside, the properties contain six-panel doors and shutters, as well as staircases with stick balusters.
