Description
The garden walls, outbuilding, and gateway located 20 meters west of Newbrough Hall date from the early 19th century, with a wrought-iron gate added in 1902 by Deas. The walls on the north and east sides of the garden are constructed of rubble on the outside and brick on the inside, while the west wall is made of rubble and the south wall of brick, all featuring flat stone coping. A central section of the south wall was reduced in height in the 20th century, and the eastern section of the south wall includes heating ducts. The outbuilding attached to the west end of the south wall contains a large cellar beneath, which has a segmental stone vault.
The gateway in the east wall is designed with rusticated piers topped with ball finials and features an elaborate wrought-iron gate in the Arts and Crafts style, showcasing a central wreath motif and a heavy ornamental monogrammed overthrow.
