Description
Thorneyford Farmhouse is an 18th-century house that was remodeled and raised in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared stone and features a Scottish slate roof with white brick stacks, except for the rear wing, which has stone slates and an old brick stack. The building has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys high with three slightly irregular bays. The entrance, located to the right of center, has a renewed door with a two-pane overlight, flanked by four-pane sash windows. The first floor features twelve-pane sashes, all with slightly projecting sills. The gables are coped, and there are stepped and corniced stacks at the ends. The rear wing includes a tall ridge stack. A 20th-century extension on the west side of the wing is not of special interest.
