Description
The garden walls to the south of Glanton House date from 1740, as indicated by the date on the lintel of a doorway on the west side. These walls are constructed of squared rubble with cut dressings and enclose a long rectangular garden. They feature pitched coping, which slopes down at the south end of both the east and south sides. Each side has a boarded door set within an irregular stone surround. The out-curved northern section of the west wall is a later rebuild and is not considered of special interest. These walls are included for their group value with Glanton House.
