Description
Asheybank Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century or 17th century, with an outshut added in the late 17th century and refenestrated in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with large quoins and features a stone slate roof and stone gable stacks. The building has two storeys and four irregularly placed windows. The central boarded door is set in a decayed moulded surround and is flanked by blocked mullioned windows. To the sides of these are late 19th-century sash windows, with four similar sashes on the first floor. A carved stone featuring a cross and a human head, likely medieval, is built into the base of the right return. The rear elevation includes an outshut with two formerly mullioned windows and a narrow six-pane fixed window. The interior has not been seen. There is an adjacent ruined barn to the left and an outbuilding to the right, which are not of interest.
