Description

The Old Schoolhouse is a house that was originally a village school and later served as the schoolmaster's residence. It has an early 18th century core and was likely altered in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of random rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high with four bays. The second bay contains a Victorian two-leaf door set within an early 20th century gabled wooden porch. The windows are mainly renewed 12-pane sashes. The roof is steeply pitched with raised narrow coping on the left gable and a stone cornice gable stack. The building is included for its group value.
