Description
Fowberry Mains Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with additions and alterations made between 1840 and 1850. It is constructed of dressed stone, with ashlar in the later parts, and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays arranged in a 1:1:2 pattern, with the second bay from the left projecting. The main block is primarily early 19th century but has been enhanced with ridged coping, prominent kneelers, and new window surrounds added around 1840-50. During this period, a left bay, a gabled one-bay projection, and a square porch with a Tudor-arched doorway were also introduced. The farmhouse features 12-pane sash windows, most of which are original, and has stone corniced ridge stacks.
