The structure is built of rubble with stone dressings and features a Scottish slate roof. It is arranged in a U-plan, with a two-storey central section flanked by single-storey L-plan wings.
The central byre has two boarded doors on the ground floor and three small windows above for the granary. Each of the single-storey sections on either side has one segmental arch to provide access to shelter sheds. To the right, there is a projecting stable with four bays, which includes two boarded doors and two shuttered windows. On the left, a projecting byre features two boarded doors. The roofs are gabled with flat coping.
