Description
The garden walls and rails surrounding West Edington Farmhouse were built in the second quarter of the 19th century. They are made of squared tooled stone with cut dressings and feature cast iron elements. The low front wall has chamfered coping and supports spiral standards topped with spiked mace heads, which are connected by two rails. The central gateway includes slender octagonal stone piers and a 20th-century wrought-iron gate. The taller side walls have flat coping that ramps down at the south end. Similar walls on the north return connect with the northern angles of the farmhouse.
