Description
This is a disused dovecote located 75 metres south-east of Low Park End, likely dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from squared sandstone and features an interior lined with narrow, hand-made bricks. The dovecote has a circular plan and is a slightly-tapering, three-storey cylindrical structure with a chamfered plinth and ruinous top courses. There are opposing chamfered doorways with alternating jambs and replaced boarded doors, along with small openings in flush surrounds on each floor above the doors. Inside, there are rows of nesting boxes with projecting ledges, although the roof has collapsed.
