Description

Walker’s Pottery consists of Newcastle kilns and attached buildings, dating from the early 19th century. The structure is built of brick and features pantile roofs. It includes a pair of horizontal kilns with brick vaults, which are open-ended to the east and have stacks located to the west. There is an adjacent building to the west of the kilns, along with a double-span block to the north that has a twin-gabled front facing west. This block features boarded double doors beneath a timber lintel and a blocked window with a segmental relieving arch, along with gable end stacks to the west. At the time of the survey, the site was derelict and in poor condition.
