Description
This 18th-century urn is located approximately 10 yards west of the Estate House in Chillingham. It is made of marble and stands on a plinth. The urn is elaborately decorated with festoons in high relief and features a lid topped with an enriched ball finial. Originally from Versailles, the urn was brought from Chillingham Castle and was a gift from Louis Philippe to the Earl of Tankerville.
