Description

The noble headstone, dated 1764, is located 3 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Corbridge Market Place. It is made of sandstone and features a square-topped design. The stone is adorned with a relief-carved open pediment that includes a winged cherub, crossed bones on the left, and an open book with text on the right. The inscription is set within a moulded surround dedicated to William Noble.
