Description
The stable and farm buildings located approximately 25 yards south-east of East Shaftoe Hall date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of dressed stone and feature a tiled roof, forming a T-plan layout.
The front range is two storeys high and serves as stables with a granary above. It has a long blank wall with a boarded door on the right side. On the right return, there is a large 13th-century grave cover from the former Shaftoe Church, which displays a shield, spear, and sword on the right, along with a tall cross on the left, showing traces of heraldic ornament on the shield.
The rear range begins at two storeys and rises to three storeys due to the slope of the land. It features three elliptical arches on the ground floor, with slatted windows above, topped by a hipped roof.
