Description
No. 6 Scarborough Street is a small commercial building dating from around 1900. It is constructed of sandstone ashlar and granite, with the roof not visible. The building is two storeys high and features one wide bay. Four granite pilasters on plinths support an enriched frieze and cornice, framing two windows and a right-hand panelled door with an overlight, all set beneath basket arches. Curved granite stallrisers are positioned above cellar grilles. The first floor has a canted bay, which is adorned with elaborately carved pilasters, an entablature, and a central pediment, resting on a projecting ground floor. The top frieze and cornice are also carved, featuring triglyph brackets and shells in between.
