Description

The gate piers, gates, and wall located to the west of St Cuthbert's Churchyard date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The structure features six tall, rusticated ashlar piers topped with cornices and round caps. There are low walls situated between the outer piers. To the right of the center, there are both single and double wrought iron gates, with the double gate having a later overthrow. The wall extends northward to connect with old red brick walls, although there was a wide breach at the time of the survey. Additionally, a single gate had been removed.
