Description

The Boot and Shoe Public House is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys high and has three windows. It features a steeply pitched roof, which is now covered with slate, and has end chimneys. The exterior is made of painted brick and includes a stepped brick cornice with dentil and diagonal courses. The raised gable end on the right has brick kneelers and coping. On the first floor, there are flat gauged brick arches above replaced sash windows, which are framed with flush wood architraves. The public house front is modest, with pilasters on either side of the windows and a six-panel door topped by a patterned oblong fanlight, all beneath a full-width entablature.
