Description
35 Tubwell Row is a building located on the south side of Tubwell Row, featuring a rounded corner that leads into East Row. The structure is currently divided into two separate occupancies. The eastern section dates from the early to mid-18th century and stands three storeys tall with two windows. The exterior is made of old brick that has been painted, and it has a stepped brick eaves cornice beneath a steep pantiled roof. The original sash windows with glazing bars are found on the first floor, while early 19th-century sash windows are located above. The building has a modern shop front, and the eastern part also features a shop front that is three windows wide and curves in a convex shape. This section has an early 19th-century low pitched roof that is hipped around the curve. The painted brick façade includes gauged near-flat brick arches above the sash windows, which are framed in flush wood architraves. There is a yard entrance on the right side, which is set under an elliptical gauged brick arch with chamfered sides.
