Description
No. 14 Horsemarket is a restored large 18th-century town house that stands three storeys tall with a basement and features seven windows arranged symmetrically. The building is constructed of pinkish brick, accented with stone raised quoins and a parapet cornice. It has finely gauged flat brick arches over replaced sash windows, which are set in flush wood architraves. Access is provided by six steps leading to a six-panel door, which is framed by an alternating block rusticated surround and topped with a heavy triple keystone. The right side of the building, facing Bull Wynd, has been rebuilt in modern brick. The structure has a double span with stone dressings on its two gable ends.
