Description
No. 13 Horsemarket is an early to mid-19th century, three-storey, three-window red brick house with a low-pitched hipped slate roof. It features stone raised quoins, cills, and lintels above replaced sash windows. The building has an early 20th-century shop front below and an 18th-century yard entrance, which is marked by an elliptical arch with stone voussoirs and alternating block quoins. On the right return to Bull Wynd, there are two stone plaques: one displays a relief of a bull, representing the Bulmer family, and the other bears the initials of Anthony Bulmer and Mary Lasenble, who were married in 1665. The Bulmer family owned property in this area, likely including No. 12A.
