Description
The garden walls in front of Ulnaby Hall are likely from the 17th century, with some later rebuilding. They are constructed of coursed rubble and enclose three sides of the front garden. The walls feature large flat coping slabs and a rubble plinth. A 2.0-metre tall wall runs south for 20 metres, adjoining the west end of the house. The lower front wall extends east for 25 metres. The rounded south-east corner steps up to a taller east wall, which runs north for 20 metres and includes a short return section to the house. There is a pair of late 20th-century stone gate piers at the south-west corner, but these are not of special interest. The walls are included for their group value.
