Description
Nos 16A and 17 on Post House Wynd are an early 18th century, two-storey house with two windows and wide proportions. The front is now roughcast, and it features a very high pitched roof that has been slated. No 16A has a modern casement window on the first floor and a small modern shop below. No 17 has a 19th century double sash window above and a late 19th century public house front below.
The main Green Dragon building is a substantial early to mid-18th century, three-storey, three-bay house that appears to be built in the same style as No 74 Skinnergate. Its walls are also roughcast, and it has a high pitched pantiled roof. The original oval windows are located on the second floor, while the first floor has sash windows, some of which have lost bars, with stone cills. The late 19th century public house front features panelled stallrisers, pilasters, and an entablature with pendants above the pilasters framing the end doors.
