Description
The Central School Annexe, dating from the early 19th century, is a two-storey building with a basement and three bays, featuring a prominent pedimented front. It is constructed of pinkish brick and has a stone cornice band. The central bay projects slightly below the cornice and includes a tall lunette in the pediment. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, with the outer windows being tripartite and set under shallow segmental gauged brick arches. The ground floor features two canted bays with entablature treatment, each containing sash windows with glazing bars. Access is provided by a central flight of five steps with curved wrought iron handrails leading to a six-panel door with a radial fanlight, situated in an arched recess.
