Description

The Hearse House, located 35 metres north-east of the Church of St. Michael, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is single-storey with a large segmental-arched opening on the front gable, which has a chamfered arch band. The quoins are roughly shaped, and there is a pair of replaced boarded doors. The roof has coped gables. There is a single-storey lean-to addition at the rear, which is associated with No. 10 Church View, but this addition is not of special interest.
