Description

Cock Inn Farmhouse and attached farm buildings date from the mid 18th century for the house and late 18th to early 19th century for the farm buildings. The farmhouse is built of rendered masonry with a pantiled roof and brick chimney stacks. The farm buildings are constructed from coursed rubble, featuring both pantiled and corrugated-iron roofs. The house has a long range of farm buildings on its left side.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with two windows and a lower two-storey left bay, which was probably a former cottage. It has a central replaced door with an overlight and replaced casements in the original openings. The roof is steeply pitched with raised verges and rebuilt end stacks. The left bay features a boarded door, two identical windows, and a steeply pitched roof with a raised left verge and an old brick left end stack.

The single-storey range of farm buildings includes three elliptical-arched doorways with rebated brick jambs and arches. There are several altered openings, including three boarded doors on the right. A short, partly rebuilt off-centre section has a flat corrugated-iron roof, while the flanking sections retain their pantiled roofs. The farm buildings are included for their group value with the farmhouse.
