Description
Honey Pot House is an early 18th-century small house that was heightened and altered in the early 19th century and again in the early 20th century. The history of the building is evident in the gable end, which features three different types of bricks: narrow dark-red brick, larger hand-made brownish brick, and red machine-made brick, with a back lean-to added using this last material. The front of the house dates from the early 19th century and consists of two storeys with three windows, the centre window on the first floor being blocked. The ground floor has gauged flat brick window arches, and the front wall is raised above the first-floor windows. The roof is slated with a medium pitch and has end chimneys. The house features late 19th-century sash windows and a modern door with a fanlight under a hood. Additionally, there is a one-storey hip-ended barn-like extension.
