Description

39 and 40 Priestgate is an early 18th-century building that stands three stories tall with a three-window front. The high-pitched swept roof has been renewed with modern tiles and is continuous with Nos 7 and 8 Prebend Row. The building features centre and end chimneys, and its walls are made of pinkish brick. The sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars in flush box frames. The ground floor has been altered to accommodate modern shops, and there is a yard entrance on the right.
