Description
The rear boundary wall of the Nag's Head Hotel, measuring approximately 10 yards in length, is a Grade II listed structure located on the north side of Church Lane. This wall is a remnant of the back facade of the former Nag's Head Hotel on Tubwell Row, which has since been demolished. It dates from the early to mid-17th century and is constructed of red brick. The wall features pilaster bay divisions and a first-floor string course made of alternating stretcher and diagonal brick courses. There are brick pilasters, triple stepped impost blocks, and a round gauged arch above a doorway. Additionally, the wall includes two window openings with flat gauged brick arches and raised frames.
