STANHOPE FRONT STREET NZ 0236 (North side) Frosterley 40/196 The Frosterley Inn II

Inn. Mid C18. Painted incised stucco with painted chamfered quoins and ashlar dressings; plinth, partly obscured by plants; Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. 3 storeys, 3 bays, the first wider. Step up to C20 central door in architrave under pulvinated frieze and cornice. Raised stone surrounds to plain sashes on ground and first floors, and smaller sashes with glazing bars on top floor. Steeply-pitched roof has swept eaves and end chimneys. Rear elevation has a 2-light single-chamfered stone-mullioned window.
