Description

The walls, gate piers, and gates that enclose the forecourt of the Methodist Chapel were built in the late 19th century. They are made of coursed squared sandstone and feature pecked ashlar coping. The walls are approximately 0.7 meters high and have coping made of curved-topped blocks. Square-section piers with similarly shaped tops are positioned on either side of the gates, which have leaf-headed uprights and dogbars. The original railings have been removed from the walls.
