Description

These houses, numbered 44, 45, and 46 Old Elvet, were built in the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed with incised stucco and have a Welsh slate roof with brick chimneys. The building is three storeys high and has five windows, arranged slightly irregularly. The left bay features a six-panel door with a low overlight set within an architrave and bracketed hood. In the centre of the facade is a pair of six-panel doors, leading into a wide elliptical arch. Above the doors is an elliptical fanlight with a patterned spandrel made to look like fish scales. The windows are twelve-pane sashes with stone sills. The roof is low-pitched, with symmetrically placed chimneys at each end of the building.
