Description

The Lind tomb, located approximately 4.5 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. Mary, is a headstone dating from around 1749, dedicated to John Lind. It is made of sandstone ashlar and stands about 0.7 metres high. The east face features an inscription, while the west face is adorned with low-relief carvings. These carvings include a top head flanked by scrolls, fluted pilasters on either side of a large heart within a scroll-decorated circle, and above the heart, there are depictions of 'memento mori' and an hourglass.
