Description

This grave cover, located 2 metres east of the Church of St John the Evangelist, dates from the late 12th century or early 13th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a coped slab approximately 1.5 metres long. The slab has a raised cross-head on the ridge of the coping, which is significantly eroded. There are end slots for uprights and holes drilled into the side of the slab.
