Description
Nos. 10-14 on High Street are three houses with one shop, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared sandstone, featuring a plinth and ashlar dressings. The quoins on the right side are remnants of a previous house that once stood on the site. The roofs over Nos. 12 and 14 are made of Welsh slate, while No. 10 has a stone-flagged roof with stone gable coping. There are new brick chimneys. The buildings are two stories tall and have three wide bays. The doors on the left side of No. 14 and the paired doors between Nos. 10 and 12 have plain stone surrounds and have been renewed. No. 12 features a three-light shop window with round-headed lights, slender pilasters, and a cornice. The sash windows, some of which have glazing bars, have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Some windows are damaged, and the property was empty at the time of the survey. This listing is included for its group value.
