Description
Number 35 is a house, now used as offices, built around 1825. It features ashlar stonework with a rubble right return gable and a roof covered in thin stone slates, complete with stone gable copings, a ridge, and chimneys. The entrance has ashlar steps leading up to a central partly-glazed six-panel door, which is framed by panelled pilasters, a lintel, corner paterae, and a cornice. The front and right return walls are finished with channelled rustication above the basement and have ashlar coping and piers. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a symmetrical two-window arrangement. The windows on the upper floors have plain stone surrounds, while the basement features flat stone lintels above its window and door. The right return has a single sash window on each floor and a smaller sash in front of the gable, all set in plain stone surrounds. The steps and low walls have plain coping, and the simple wrought-iron railings have spike heads. The small square gate piers at the steps and basement entrance also exhibit channelled rustication and low pyramidal coping. The interior has not been inspected.
