Description

The Robinson tomb, located approximately 25 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Mary, dates from around 1747 and commemorates Richard Robinson of Eggleston. It features a headstone made of sandstone ashlar, standing about 0.6 metres high. The design includes fluted pilasters that support paired semicircles at the top, while the rear of the tomb has three fielded panels, with the upper two shaped to match the outline of the slab.
