Description
Jackson's Mill is a windmill built in 1832 by John Lamb of Hawthorn for John Henry Jackson. It underwent extensive restoration in 1980, during which the top storey was removed and a single-storey house was added to the east. The mill is constructed from random limestone rubble and has a circular plan with a tapering elevation, standing at four storeys tall. The door features a monolithic cambered arch, and the renewed windows still have their original stone lintels. The 20th-century house attached to the mill is not of special interest.
