Description

The Manor House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century, with additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with a steeply-pitched Welsh slate roof and brick gable stacks. The house has a double-depth plan with a central staircase to the rear. Originally, it had two storeys and three windows, though the openings of a third-floor are now blocked. A lower, two-storey rear elevation exists. A projecting, enclosed porch features a 20th-century door and a radial fanlight in a rectangular frame. The central, first-floor sash window has a wedge lintel. Mid-19th century, two-storey bay windows with ogee-shaped roofs are situated to the right and left of the facade. The rear elevation contains a round-arched window illuminating the staircase.

Inside, features from the early to mid-19th century include panelling, fireplace surrounds, several six-panel doors, and a staircase with two turned balusters per tread.

Nos. 1 and 2 Manor Cottages attached to the right are not considered to be of particular architectural or historic interest.
