Description
This is a late 17th or early 18th century farmhouse, built in two distinct phases. It is constructed of rendered random rubble, with roofs now covered in concrete tiles. The left section is two bays wide, while the right section is narrower and projects forward. The left section has a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor, a 24-pane sash with a sliding centre pane to the right, and two 16-pane sashes above. It has projecting eaves and a rubble parapet at the left end gable and between the two sections. The roof slopes moderately and has a gable stack to the left and a central ridge stack. The projecting right section features a 20th-century door with a transom light and a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor, and a single 16-pane sash window above. This section has projecting eaves and a right gable parapet with kneelers. A buttressed return wall has an external gable stack. A three-bay, two-storey barn with a pitched tile roof, external staircase, and 20th-century windows is attached to the rear of the left section. An outshut of one bay and single storey, with a catslide roof of Welsh slate, is attached to the rear of the right section. The interior has been significantly altered in the 20th century. Attached farm buildings to the right and rear, and a single-storey garage to the left, are not considered to be of architectural interest.
