Description
The garden wall located 60 metres south of Hardwick Hall Hotel is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in the late 18th century. It is a continuous wall that encloses an oval garden area and is primarily constructed of narrow hand-made brick arranged in English garden wall bond. The wall stands approximately 3 metres high and features several round-arched doorways. There is a projecting upper course that has mostly been renewed, and squat buttresses are present at the north-east corner. Additionally, there are roughly-shaped vehicle entrances from the late 20th century on both the north and south sides.
