Description
Stone Bridge Farmhouse is a large farmhouse built around 1840, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features rendered masonry and has a roof with stone flags at the front and concrete ridged tiles at the rear. It is topped with stone chimney stacks.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four irregular bays. The second bay contains a replaced door set in a flush surround. In the left bay, there is a late 20th-century three-light casement window on the ground floor. The other windows are four-pane sashes with projecting sills, and the first-floor window in the second bay is set lower than the others. The roof has renewed coped gables and includes end stacks as well as a ridge stack on the right, featuring top bands and water tables.
At the rear, there are replaced partly-glazed doors in the second and fourth bays, along with replaced casements in flush surrounds.
This farmhouse is included for its group value with the nearby farm buildings.
